Board’s actions helped charter amendment

DEAR EDITOR:

I want to thank the Cherokee County Board of Education and Superintendent Petruzielo for the help with passage of Amendment 1.

Their resistance to constructive alternative change, inability to come to terms with innovative education, and their “in your face” disdain for the desires of Cherokee County citizens pushed the electorate to act.

While there was a great organized effort to support this amendment from citizens at large, no stronger support was given than that of the school administration in their consistent resistance to school choice by parents. Their actions truly demonstrated the need for change. Thank you for your help BOE!

This property tax payer agrees wholeheartedly with Mr. Thomas. Fortunately for the parents who desire school choice, the ego of our superintendent & his hatred of charter schools worked against the man, as he clearly forgot that most adults can make up our minds without his assistance nor usage of taxpayer facilities to spread his charter-hating NO agenda.

The people spoke - LOUDLY. Dr. P, stop your stupid politicking - you've clearly got NO IDEA how the citizens of Cherokee County think. Stick to being a mediocre superintendent and leave the politics to lobbyists.
