Alton Raymond Carroll, age 75, of Stone Mountain, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at his residence. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marty Smith and Pastor Randall Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Darby Funeral Home. Surviving are wife, Essie Evelyn Carroll; sons, Randy White of Ellenwood and Tony White of Greenwood, SC; daughters, Patti Anderson of Snellville, GA and Sandi Atkins of Stone Mountain; brother, Max Carroll of Charlotte, SC; sister, Vernnie Morgan of Stone Mountain; also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
