CANTON — The identity of a deceased man found behind Canton Marketplace on Sunday is still unknown.

The Canton Police Department, working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, has released a sketch of the man in hopes of learning his identity.

The police department is referring to the case as a suspicious death.

The man is Hispanic, weighs between 150 and 160 pounds and is 5 feet, 6 inches tall. Police say he was found without identification wearing dark blue jeans, a gray button-down shirt, a gray and black Aeropostale-brand fleece jacket, black Sperry Topsider shoes, black socks and gray boxers. He has black hair and brown eyes, with no tattoos or scars.

The man was found around 9:30 a.m. Sunday by a bow hunter tracking a deer in a wooded area behind the Canton Marketplace shopping center on Cumming Highway, according to Canton Police Department Officer Pacer Cordry.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity is asked to call 911 or call the Canton Police Department at (770) 720-4883.
