Carlton Witt Hendrix Sr., age 88 of Canton passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. The funeral is scheduled for Friday, January 4, 2013 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Floyd Tenney and Rev. Ed Towers officiating. The Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery. The Family will be receiving friends Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Darby Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The survivors are wife, Martha M. Hendrix of Canton; son, Carlton W. Hendrix Jr. of Canton and sister, Doris H. Goddard of Canton, also surviving are 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Hendrix worked 37½ years as a Tool Designer at Lockheed. Member of the Canton Masonic Lodge #77 for over 50 years, Past Commander of the American Legion Post 45, Member Red Coats Auxillary for R.T. Jones Hospital and a member of Canton First United Methodist Church. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
