The Savannah Morning News reports 40-year-old Kimberly Moretz, of Rincon, and 38-year-old Kevin Lambert, of Naples, Fla., are charged with tampering with evidence and hindering the apprehension and prosecution of a criminal. The two were already charged with concealing a death and are being held on $25,000 bond in the Effingham County Jail.
Police say Chad Moretz — who was killed in a standoff Friday night — likely killed Charles Ray and dismembered him. Authorities say the two were friends but are unsure of the motive behind the slaying.
Officials say Moretz’s wife, Kimberly, rented the storage unit where most of Ray’s remains were found.
