Cherokee Office of Economic Development President Misti Martin will also speak, and Planning and Zoning Director Jeff Watkins will speak about the county’s Development Service Center.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the county administration building at The Bluffs.
The cost to attend is $20 for Council for Quality Growth members and $25 for nonmembers. Advanced registration is required. Lunch is included.
Ahrens said about 200 people are expected to attend.
“This is the largest group we’ve had in this kind of circumstance, so I’m going to take advantage of that when I do a short review of the county,” Ahrens said.
To purchase tickets, visit www.councilforqualitygrowth.com or call Jennifer Head with the Council for Quality Growth at (770) 813-3381.
The Council for Quality Growth is a not-for-profit trade association with members including developers, contractors, engineers, bankers and others with an interest in growth and development.
“They’re very involved in the entire Atlanta area. They host this type of a group about once a quarter,” Ahrens said.
