Creekview High School is showcasing student talent with two one-act comedic plays for Valentine’s.
The plays will be presented Feb. 14 and 15 at 7 p.m.
Creekview English teacher Drew Lawson said the plays are heart-warming and funny.
Creekview senior Allie Thomas directs “The Audition” by Don Zolidis.
“’The Audition’ is a hilarious and heart-touching one-act play chronicling the audition process for a high school production of ‘A Chorus Line,’ ” Lawson said.
Senior Abigail Sherrod is directing “The Actor’s Nightmare” by Christopher Durang, an Absurdist one act play that tells the story of George Spelvin, played by junior Corbin Ray.
“George Spelvin is in the middle of, well, an actor’s worst nightmare: walking on stage while not knowing his lines … or even what play he is performing,” Lawson said.
Tickets will be available at the Creekview box office the day of each show. Adult tickets are $5.
Student, senior citizen, and military tickets are $3.
Cherokee County School District employees with proof of employment are free.
