Mrs. Evelyn Chapman, 78, of Nelson passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Canton Nursing Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kent Samples and Rev. Danny Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 am until 10 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Chapman was a retired seamstress and a member of Four Mile Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Phillip (Jane) O’Bryant of Jasper and Eddie (Nancy) O’Bryant of Cumming; sister, Hazel Yother of Woodstock; sisters-in-law, Sandra Wehunt of Woodstock and Joan Wehunt of Acworth; grandchildren, Shannon Keenan, Josh O’Bryant, Jessica Padgett and Mathew O’Bryant; and 8 great-grandchildren.
