CANTON — The Cherokee County Republican Party will host a forum with the local legislative delegation Monday evening.

The event will be in the second-floor courtroom of the historic Cherokee County Courthouse beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Legislators expected to attend are state Sens. Brandon Beach (R-Alpharetta) and Barry Loudermilk (R-Cassville), and state Reps. Michael Caldwell (R-Woodstock), Calvin Hill (R-Canton), John Carson (R-Marietta), Mandi Ballinger (R-Canton) and Scot Turner (R-Holly Springs).

Legislators will share their vision for 2013 and discuss various bills coming through the legislature. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions.

John Marinko, first vice chairman of the Cherokee County Republican Party, said the Republican Party has teamed up with some downtown Canton restaurants to offer 10 percent discounts on dining for those who attend the forum.

“We encourage everyone to attend this very important and informative event,” Marinko said.

Forums will be held in the same location the third Monday of every month. The forums are free and open to the public.
