Laura Ellen Barber, 84, of Ball Ground, entered into rest on February 8, 2013. Mrs. Ellen Barber was born on December 5, 1928, in Covington, Georgia. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton, Georgia, where she was a Sunday School teacher. A wonderful mother and grandmother, she also loved growing vegetables and flowers in her greenhouse. She was a member of the Garden Club in Canton. Her parents, Edgar and Dovie Kinnett Hull, preceded her in death. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Lawrence Barber, Ball Ground; children, Ronald Barber (Doris), Kathleen; Laura Barber, Berea, Kentucky; David Barber (Nan), Chattanooga, Tennessee; Elizabeth Riley (Larry), Clarksville, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Natalie Hull, Conyers; and brother, Thornton Hull (Faye), Locust Grove. A memorial service will be held at Zion Baptist Church, Conyers, Georgia in April.
