For those looking for a different night of entertainment, hypnotist Tim Triplett has just the ticket.
Triplett combines humor with hypnosis for a lively performance and is performing one night at the Canton Theatre on March 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Triplett has been performing hypnosis for over 12 years.
As a former sales trainer, Triplett realized that by hypnotizing his sales people, he could vastly improve their performance.
Triplett is an impersonator of celebrities such as David Letterman, Regis Philbin and even Ann Richards from “The Weakest Link.”
He eventually turned to hypnosis full time, which has allowed him to tour internationally and perform more than 150 shows and seminars per year.
In the beginning, Triplett perfected his craft by practicing on anybody and everybody that would let him hypnotize them.
That included his sales trainees, his friends and his then 5-year-old daughter who can now fall asleep from hypnosis in less than 60 seconds. She calls it the “sleepy game.”
His first paid gig was for a Chik-fil-A Peach Bowl event in front over 1,000 people, and Triplett was hooked.
He has performed shows to packed houses at every venue and stage since then, from cruise ships to corporations to colleges.
“If you’ve ever wanted to be hypnotized or wanted to see your friends hypnotized to hallucinate, lose their imaginary dog or think part of their anatomy is on fire, March 2 at the Canton Theatre is your chance,” Triplett said.
Every show is unique but always incredibly funny as Triplett controls the thoughts and actions of audience volunteers live on stage.
Tickets to the show at the Canton Theatre are $15 and $20. For tickets, call the box office at (770) 704-0755.
