Zentko (1-1) earned the win for Creekview (1-2), after giving up three hits and fanning seven. He was also 2-for-2 with an RBI.
The Grizzlies held a 2-0 lead through three innings, but tacked on five over the final four frames, including two in the seventh.
Chandler Wold was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases. Max Holton had a hit, scored twice and drove in a run.
Creekview, which totaled 10 hits, will host Osborne in a Region 7AAAAA game Monday. River Ridge (0-4) will be at Kennesaw Mountain on Monday.
BOYS SOCCER
Woodstock 4, Sequoyah 1: The Wolverines improved to 2-0, with Miguel Gomez and Thomas Weiner each contributing a goal and an assist.
Francisco Cantu put Woodstock on the board on an assist from Weiner. Bryean Parsons and Jordan Atkins also scored before Gomez, who assisted on the goal by Atkins, scored on an assist from Weiner.
Nate Brown made three saves for Woodstock (2-0), which will be off until traveling to Kennesaw Mountain on March 12.
Sequoyah (2-3) will host Kell in a Region 7AAAAA game Tuesday.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Etowah 8, Woodstock 5: Despite Jaclyn Chiesa’s two goals, the Lady Wolverines were unable to beat their Towne Lake rival in an Area 2AAAAAA game.
Savannah McKenzie, Maddie Bauer and Katie Cody also scored for Woodstock.
