Investors in the AMP Americas’ station that opened Monday along Interstate 65 near the town of Fair Oaks say the station completes a transportation corridor, along with a sister station along I-65 in southern Indiana.
The stations will fuel 42 milk delivery trucks owned by Fair Oaks Farms, a dairy cooperative of 10 farms housing about 35,000 cows. Those trucks deliver milk to three Kroger grocery store dairies serving 560 retail stores in eight states.
Chicago-based AMP Americas’ founder and CEO, Nate Laurell, tells The Times of Munster he hopes the venture can open at least 10 more natural gas corridors across the eastern U.S.
