Cherokee scored three runs in the top of the sixth to take a one-run lead, but North Cobb’s Tyler Martin and Trevor Devine singled to start its half of the inning. Billy Rose put down a sacrifice bunt and was safe on an error to load the bases.
Chandler Sievers tied the game with an RBI single, and then Greckel walked to give North Cobb the 4-3 lead.
Spencer Ashley led Cherokee, going 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Austin Pharr was 2-for-4.
Cherokee (1-5) will host Stephenson for another non-region game today.
GIRLS SOCCER
Cherokee 2, River Ridge 1: Rachel Hall scored the game-winner off a corner kick as the Lady Warriors won against their county foe.
Lauren Moss also scored for Cherokee (5-0), while Brooke DeSantis scored the equalizing goal for River Ridge (2-4).

Sequoyah 154, Woodstock 158: Nick Vogel carded a low round of 34 for the Chiefs, who won at Towne Lake Hills.
Woodstock was led by freshman Kevin Burns’ 36.

Etowah 151, Sequoyah 182: Led by Taylor Anthony’s 46, the Lady Eagles won the nine-hole match.
Tyler Dawson shot a 49, while Ana Arce and Ashley Anthony also competed for Etowah.

Etowah 84, Woodstock 99: The Lady Eagles won in a match shortened to five holes.
Tyler Dawson, Taylor Anthony, Ana Arce and Ashley Athony contributed to the score, with Dawson shooting an even-par 21.
