Mr. Jim Farrington, 69, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Kathy Cares Hospice in Cartersville. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, March 16, 2013 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Kelley, Rev. Robert Farrington and Rev. Bryan Padgett officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 pm until 8 pm at Sosebee Funeral Home. Mr. Farrington served in the U.S. Army and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He retired from Lockheed and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Farrington of Canton; children, Joe Farrington of Smyrna, Clay Farrington of Silver Springs, MD and Wendy Burns of Cartersville; siblings, Robert Farrington of Canton, Betty Hiltbrunner of California, Shirley Smith of Ducktown, TN and Deborah Hearn of Cartersville; grandchildren, Kayla Burns, Rachel Farrington, Brandon Burns, William Farrington, Maddie Farrington and Hanna Farrington; 1 great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Burns; several nieces and nephews.
