Mr. Wilton “Red” Pope, 91, of Canton passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 am until 10 pm at the funeral home. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Pope and son, John Wilton Pope, Sr. Survivors include his grandchildren, Lori Dyer of Canton, Christy Granger of Cartersville and John Pope, Jr. of Canton; great-grandchildren, Ashley Granger, Amber Granger, Megan Dyer, Cody Granger and Johnathan Dyer.
