The fire was at 108 Eubanks Court in Woodstock, a spokesperson with the fire department said.
The residents were not home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
“Cherokee County 911 received a call from a neighbor who stated that there was lots of white smoke coming from the two story residence,” said Tim Cavender, spokesperson for the Cherokee County fire services.
A second caller also stated that there was smoke coming from the roof, Cavender said.
When the first engine arrived on scene, they could also see flames showing, Cavender said.
Cherokee County firefighter Eric Robidou said that flames were coming from the back corner of the structure. He also said that there was lots of fire, smoke and water damage inside the home, Cavender reported.
Both lanes of Eubanks Court were blocked until the operation was completed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Cavender said.
