For those who love American Girl dolls, or who just want to see some fun fashions and enjoy a tea, an event at the Cherokee Arts Center on Saturday offers a perfect opportunity.

STARS Community Drama is hosting the BFF and Me Fashion Show and Tea Party Saturday with two seatings available at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The event is a first at the theatre, and features 20 children between 5 and 11 years old dressing in matching outfits with their favorite dolls walking the catwalk.

Following the fashion show a full tea party is in store in the art gallery.

Attendees will be entertained during the tea by young girls sharing a variety of musical numbers including the violin, piano and songs.

Tickets are available at the arts center or online at tix.com. Ticket prices are $12 for children under 12 years old and $15 for adults.

Tickets include both the fashion show and tea party. Door prizes will be given away at each seating.

“Come join the fun and treat your special young lady to a day they will never forget,” said Tisha Gotte, director of STARS Community Drama.
