Man hospitalized after he's struck by train

 ACWORTH, Ga. (AP) — A man was hospitalized with unknown injuries after being struck by a train in downtown Acworth, northwest of Atlanta.

Acworth police Capt. Mark Cheatham tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the accident happened around 8 p.m. Monday.

Investigators had not determined why the man was on the tracks, which run beside Main Street.

Few other details were immediately available, and the man's name was not released.
