Two recent atrocities have been perpetrated against citizens of Cherokee County. The first was in Woodstock in April, the second happened Tuesday in Canton. Both involved zoning approvals for crematoriums, those burning morgues of the dead.
In Canton, outraged citizens were overlooked as only a slight obstacle to be ignored, by strange, very strange looking “approval” types. But board members seemed so willing to give credence to the unsupportable claims of the solitary, wealthy undertaker.
The Highway 20 at East Cherokee Drive location affects thousands of homes, a school, businesses and many nearby subdivisions.
By the way, when did a comprehensive land use plan gain accommodation for outrages such as crematoriums in residential neighborhoods? Was that done behind our backs? Who did it?
Poisons from crematoria work slowly. The damage takes time to show up. Squelching officials kept a tight lid on opposition speakers in Canton.
Not one person mentioned the 2002 Tri-State Crematory disaster up in Dade County.
Tommy Ray Marsh, who ran it, developed mercury poisoning from cremation fumes, per his attorney. His cremation machine was broken with a body half shoved in it.
Investigators eventually found 334 bodies stacked in vaults or tossed inside buildings, thrown in holes, or cast into woods. Folks in Cherokee need to read about this. A complete 10-year anniversary article about this disaster is online, and officials could have read it by lifting a few fingers.
Loss in property values, dangers to health and peace of mind seemed to cut no ice with majority board members who “approved.”
Greedy undertaker(s) with seared consciences. Ignorant zoning officials making havoc. What has America to do with witch doctors of Hinduism and Buddhism?
Only the evil practice and atrocity of cremation which came due to “changed cultural attitudes.” With lots of ashes poured on the Ganges of irrationalism.
The latter from a people whose governments, courts and schools have been used to push ideas that we live in an impersonal empty meaningless universe of matter and/or energy shaped by pure chance.
This colossal lie has wrought extreme havoc. The only truth that has produced any basis for dignity for humans is the Christian concept of man. Our natural rights come from that, even in this mad day of chaotic turning of “freedom” into license. Wake up, America, and think.
Is it possible that thousands of citizens and business owners will join to bring legal suits against zoning officials and undertakers who plan to install this outrage?
In Woodstock, what good is your chicken sandwich lunch while you’re breathing fumes from an accursed crematorium nearby? Or miles away. Another lawsuit in the making.
