ATLANTA (AP) — Authorities searching for an inmate accused of escaping from custody in Hall County have located a truck that investigators believe he used in the getaway.

Hall County sheriff's Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said Atlanta police Wednesday evening found the vehicle on Etheridge Street in Atlanta.

Authorities said 46-year-old James Edward Cantrell of Gainesville remained at large Thursday.

The Times of Gainesville reports (http://bit.ly/11ZwzSL) that the escape happened Tuesday, as Cantrell was in custody at the Hall County Courthouse. Sheriff's officials said Cantrell concealed himself in the alcove of a doorway on the exterior of the building, then found the nearby truck with the keys in the ignition.

Authorities said Cantrell was at the courthouse in connection with a protective order associated with a family violence charge.
