WOODSTOCK — A woman crashed her Mercedes head-on into a parked fire truck at about 3:48 p.m. on Wednesday, while emergency personnel were working on the scene of an earlier accident on Towne Lake Parkway, according to public safety officials.

The driver was transported to Northside Hospital-Cherokee with non-life-threatening injuries and no first responders were injured, according to public safety officials.

“Engine 20 was parked, working the other wreck when a third party struck engine. She was transported to Northside Hospital-Cherokee with minor injuries,” spokesman Tim Cavender confirmed.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office was on the scene investigating the initial wreck and the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the wreck involving the fire truck.
