The Ball Ground Historical Society installed several officers and members to the board of directors at its regular monthly meeting Tuesday in the council chambers at Ball Ground City Hall.
Among the new officers welcomed to the society’s ranks Tuesday night include President Beth Ingram, Recording Secretary Karen Jordan, Corresponding Secretary Sandra Pendley and Treasurer Elaine Gay, said Tim Cavender, who was also installed as vice president.
Cavender said the Historical Society, which was founded in June 2012, also brought on new members for its board of directors including Dr. Rebecca Ray, Joe Kitchens and Mary Sue Haynes Malone.
The Ball Ground Historical Society was chartered June 26, 2012, “to honor, protect and encourage the preservation of Ball Ground’s history and heritage,” Cavender said.
The society meets the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Council Chambers of Ball Ground City Hall, is at 215 Valley Street, beginning at 7 p.m. Membership dues are $25 (individual) and $35 (household, two memberships).
