Several local offices to close in observance of Labor Day

CANTON — Offices around Cherokee County are planning to close up shop on Monday in observance of Labor Day.

Among those closing for the holiday will be city offices in Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs, Waleska, Nelson and Ball Ground. All Cherokee County government offices will also be closed.

Cherokee County students will get a break for the day with all schools in the county, including Reinhardt University, shutting down Monday. Cherokee County School District offices will also be closed, as will all libraries in the Sequoyah Regional Library System.

Residents who use the Cherokee Area Transportation System will have to make other arrangements for travel with the transit system not running at all Monday.

Cherokee offices of the North Georgia Health District will close for Labor Day.

The Cherokee Tribune office in Canton will also be closed in observance of the holiday.
