WOODSTOCK— Starting Monday, drivers on Towne Lake Parkway and Rose Creek Drive will run into lane closures and possible delays, as patching and resurfacing of the roads begin.

The project is expected to be completed by November and cost $2 million. It involves patching and resurfacing Towne Lake Parkway between Eagle Drive and Bells Ferry Road, and Rose Creek Drive between Eagle Drive and Towne Lake Parkway.

Weather permitting, the patching portion will take about three weeks to complete, and will be done primarily at night, between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to the Cherokee County Roadway Capital Program Management Division.

Following the patching, there will be pavement milling and a final resurfacing, also to take place during the night. All the work is expected to wrap up by November, according to officials.

Pedestrian crossings on Towne Lake Parkway are also getting upgraded, according to officials, and there will be construction of deceleration lanes at Andover Way, Arborhill Drive and Rose Creek Lane.

The project will be completed by CW Matthews Contracting Co. Inc.
