A 61-year-old man died Saturday morning after his motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck outside Canton.

Frank Hyland of Woodstock was pronounced dead at WellStar Kennestone Hospital after a wreck with a Toyota Tundra on Highway 20 around 11:15 a.m., said Georgia State Patrol Spokesman Gordy Wright.

Wright said a passenger on the motorcycle was also injured.

The crash happened about 5 miles east of Canton when the truck turned off of Hampton Station Boulevard and the motorcycle hit its left side, Wright said.

The GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is conducting an investigation into the wreck.

"Charges in the crash are pending the completion of their work," Wright said.
