ATLANTA — Hundreds are expected to participate in the inaugural Moving Day-Atlanta walk for Parkinson’s disease.

Organizers say the Nov. 9 event is sponsored by the National Parkinson Foundation and is focused on raising awareness of the disease and informing people on the importance of exercise for those who have been diagnosed with it.

The walk is expected to also feature a pavilion offering visitors yoga, dance, Pilates, Zumba classes and more.

The event is being held on Tech Green, near the Georgia Tech student center.
