The Cherokee County Marshal’s Office is advising residents to be cautious of solicitors going door to door selling items. The Marshal’s Office has received complaints about solicitors without permits who are trying to talk themselves into people’s homes.

Chief Marshal Chris Collett said residents should be advised that any solicitor without a permit issued by Cherokee County has had no criminal history check and residents should not allow these people into their homes. “If you are solicited by someone without a permit, contact the Cherokee County Marshal’s Office,” Collett said.

The Marshal’s Office can be reached at (678) 493-6200.
