KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Kennesaw State University officials say United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Sally Fegan-Wyles will speak at the school on the role of gender equality in global development.

Officials say Fegan-Wyles will speak at a forum Nov. 8 and will speak about improving women's welfare after the U.N.'s 2015 deadline for achieving its Millennium Development Goals.

Organizers say Fegan-Wyles of Dublin, Ireland, has more than 30 years of experience with the United Nations and has served in several leadership positions.

Officials say the discussion is being hosted in Kennesaw State's Prillaman Hall at 4 p.m.
