WALESKA — Reinhardt University’s Advantage Master of Business Administration degree will begin in January instead of August like many other MBA programs, and prospective students are encouraged to apply soon.

Reinhardt’s Advantage MBA helps students develop the real-world skills and knowledge that are highly valued in today’s competitive corporate, public safety and nonprofit markets.

Reinhardt’s next group of MBA students will begin classes the week of Jan. 6, so interested students are encouraged to inquire soon, school officials said.

For prospective students who submit completed application materials by Dec. 1, the $25 application fee will be waived, according to a news release from the university.

Due to the multi-step process, applicants are encouraged to begin the application process as early as possible. Application materials can be found online, at

“Beginning the Reinhardt Advantage MBA program in January allows students to begin courses now instead of having to wait until August like many other MBA programs,” said Dr. Kathy Hyatt, assistant professor of business and MBA program coordinator. “The flexibility of the schedule and the convenience of location is perfect for the working adult.”

Reinhardt Advantage MBA classes for this group of students, also known as a cohort, meet one night a week on Thursdays, for 19 months. A practicum follows each set of courses.

Students take one seven-week course at a time, allowing for an intensive focus on each subject. Classes will be at Reinhardt’s North Fulton Center in Alpharetta, and the campus serves students in metro Atlanta, including Cherokee, Gwinnett, north Fulton and Forsyth counties.

“Our MBA program is unique in that students complete a one credit-hour practicum after every two courses that they take,” Hyatt said. “This practicum allows students to present their projects from their courses to a business panel so that they get real-world experience presenting to business leaders.”

Classes average from 12 to 20 members, and participation is expected. Students who start the program together form a cohort, and this group stays together from orientation through graduation.

Student learning will be mentored by faculty members and visiting professionals who have extensive experience and impressive academic credentials, according to the release.

Face-to-face instruction, complemented by Web discussion boards and focused support materials will provide repeated opportunities for growth and advancement.
