Sequoyah sets rebound mark

Christian Hillhouse had 16 points and a team-high 20 rebounds as Sequoyah beat Forsyth Central 61-56 on Tuesday and moved into first place of Region 7AAAAA (A).

Sequoyah (8-1, 5-4) set a school record with 55 rebounds, breaking the previous record of 52 set earlier this season. The Chiefs trailed 26-19 at the half, but they came out in the third quarter and went on a 20-7 run to grab the lead.

Logan Taylor also had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Jordan Usher had nine points and six rebounds, and Levi Biddy finished with seven points and four assists.

Sequoyah will host county and region rival Creekview on Tuesday.
