Creekview 14, West Forsyth 4:
The Grizzlies belted out 12 hits and took advantage of nine walks to win the non-region road game.

Creekview (2-0) scored twice in the first inning and broke the game open with a five-run fifth. It added three in the fifth and added two more in the sixth and seventh innings.

Austin Smith batted 3-for-4 with an RBI and scored twice. Kyle Wilkie was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Chandler Wold had a two-run single in the fifth and finished with three RBIs.

Max Holton had two hits and an RBI. R.J. Knecht had two hits, scored three times and added an RBI.

Jordan Pickerill (1-0) allowed four earned runs and struck out five in four innings. Wold didn’t allow a run and struck out five in three innings of relief.

Creekview will face Cherokee on Monday at the East Cobb Baseball complex — a game relocated because of work around Cherokee’s baseball field — before hosting Woodstock on Tuesday.
