Farm Bureau awards college scholarships

Two Cherokee County high school seniors received scholarships of $1,050 each from the Cherokee County Farm Bureau for the 2014-15 school year.

Olivia Dabbs of Creekview High School was one of the recipients and will be attending the University of Georgia to major in Dietetics. Her parents are Doug and Becky Dabbs of Ball Ground.

Etowah High School senior Mikayla Black also received a scholarship and will attend Georgia Highlands College and plans to major in Early Childhood Education. Parents are Tim and Vicki Black of Woodstock.
