Heather Hardin Pope, 43, of Woodstock, the most dedicated mother and loyal friend, died Friday, July 11th 2014 in her home. Heather was known for her love of all sports, especially the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, NASCAR and the Sequoyah Chiefs. She enjoyed all genres of music and excelled at music trivia. She leaves behind her wonderful sons, Noah and Caleb. These boys were her heart and soul. Heather is survived by her parents, Martha and Danny Hardin of Rockmart; sister, Hayley Kelly and her husband, Will, and their son, Jackson of Marietta; aunts and uncles, Lewis and Jan Faucett of Florence, AL, Jim and Mary Jo Mills of Marietta, Jean Hardin of Marietta, Edna Hardin of Marietta; Noah and Caleb’s father, Clay Pope; numerous friends and extended family. Heather was well respected by the students at Sequoyah High School. She instilled life lessons in her students and celebrated their happiness with each of them. After leaving Sequoyah, Heather made an impact on her coworkers at Equifax. She enjoyed each one and the lunch laughs will never be forgotten. We will miss this jeep driving lady with the smile that would light up any room. Her sense of humor and contagious laughter will be imprinted on our hearts and minds forever. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Maple Avenue United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta. Family will receive friends 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta.
