Mrs. Lois H. Dewrell, age 78, of Marietta, died Sunday, July 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24 in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna with Reverend Ken Smith officiating. Burial will follow in New Smyrna Cemetery. Mrs. Dewrell was a member of the last graduating class of Smyrna High School in 1952. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Dewrell of Woodstock, David Dewrell of Woodstock, Mr. & Mrs. Ben Dewrell of Waleska, and Dan Dewrell of Ranger; brother, Jimmy Hiatt of Smyrna; sisters, Gail Roloff of Smyrna and Karen Johnson of Watkinsville; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cobb County Meals on Wheels. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 23 from 4-8 pm at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. (770) 435-4467.
