Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and Canton Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle wreck at about 4 p.m. Wednesday at Georgia Highway 20 at the Scott Road intersection, which caused traffic delays.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find that a gray Dodge Caravan was involved in a collision with a white Honda Civic, said Tim Cavender, spokesperson for Cherokee Fire. The 20-year-old female driver of the Honda was complaining of left shoulder pain and the 50-year-old male driver of the Dodge had injuries to his left leg, he said.

Both lanes of Highway 20 were blocked until the vehicles were removed from the roadway. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
