The election is over and now it’s time for Southwest Cherokee County to join together behind Commissioner-Elect Kenneth Scott Gordon.
With the backing of elected leaders from the state, to our current incumbent commissioner, to the sheriff, the mayor of Woodstock and the School Board, our commissioner-elect took 51 percent of the vote.
I shall now implore upon the 49 percent to rally behind Commissioner-Elect Gordon. With the coalition he has built with these leaders in Canton, and your backing, he should be able to do amazing things for southwest Cherokee County.
District 4 has been ignored long enough and Scott is our man. I ask that you give him your prayers, your voice and your unprecedented backing.
On a personal note, I would like to congratulate Commissioner-Elect Gordon on an awesome come-from-behind victory in the runoff.
I know many of my supporters are disappointed, but it’s time to “bury the hatchet” and stand behind our new leader. I am confident he will serve us in southwestern Cherokee County with integrity and strength.
