Mr. Jerry Ray Howard, age 39, of Cartersville, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Grady Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rick McClure officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. and until the funeral hour Sunday. Mr. Howard was employed with Chart Industries in Ball Ground. He was an avid outdoorsman and was Baptist. Survivors include his children, Chruchelle Howard and Codie Howard both of Cartersville; stepchildren, Kayce Massey of Ranger, Dustin Massey of Marble Hill and Timothy Shippman of Talking Rock; parents, Jerry L. and Dorothy Howard of Dallas, GA; sister, Tawana Embry of Adairsville; brother, William Howard of Woodstock; grandmother, Hattie Wise of Dallas, GA; 3 step-grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.
