Margaret Lynn Lay Embro, 69 of Canton, formerly of Norcross was called home on Nov. 7, 2009. Lynn was a member of Norcross First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: James Chiles and Annie Mae Dean Lay; brother, Jimmy; son Jeffry Lay Embro; granddaughter, Hayley Marie Embro. She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Embro of Canton; sons, Joseph III and Becky Embro of Acworth, James and Jackie Embro of Alpharetta, Jason and Sarah Embro of Marietta; daughter Alicia Embro of Ballground; sister and brother in-law Judith and Buck Peacock of Atlanta; brother Daniel Lay of Norcross; sister in-law Krista Hall Lay. grandchildren, Joseph, Abby, Jonathan, Jessica, James, Julia, and Marcus Carder. Lynn was a remarkable Christian with a genuine connection to people. She was talented in song and dance and could sing beautifully and knew so many great old songs. Loving of all things God made (she rescued dogs, cats, birds, trees, native plants, rocks), folk and bluegrass music, family, and our Lord God above. She leaves a legacy of love, kindness, forgiveness, and of putting others before self. She is rejoicing with her Savior and loved ones. Funeral will be 11: 00 AM Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Norcross. Burial will be in Norcross City Cemetery.
