Mrs. Bessie Cox, age 79, of Buford formerly of Woodstock, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at North East Georgia Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Clayton and Rev. Brady Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cox was Baptist and was a homemaker. Survivors include her children, Dorothy (Woody) Woodall of Buford, Jimmy (Kay) Mooney of Canton and James (Jean) Mooney of Calhoun; Bob Cox of Woodstock; brothers and sisters, Hassel McClure of Ellijay, Johnny McClure of Ellijay, Ranel McClure of Blue Ridge, Bennie McClure of Blue Ridge, Bobby McClure of Jasper, Barbara Watkins of Cherry Log and Betty Davenport of Cherry Log; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
