Mr. Hoyt H. Housley, age 91, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at North Fulton Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday after 6 p.m. and Saturday until the funeral hour. Mr. Housley was Baptist. He enjoyed restoring old tractors and gardening. Survivors include his children, Byron Housley of Robbinsville, NC, Dexter Housley of Blue Ridge, Brenda Cook of Canton and Wanda Whitener of McCaysville; brothers, Glenn Housley of Copperhill, TN, Emmett Housley of Blackstock, SC, Elvin Housley of Riceville, TN; sister, Ivanell Johnson of Hopkinsville, KY; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; Sosebee Funeral Home, Canton, GA, honored to serve the family. 770-479-2131.
