Mrs. Jerrie Louise Roper, age 69, of Ball Ground, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Sylvester Ridings officiating. Interment was in the Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Roper was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Roper and grandson, Jonathan Pitner. Survivors include her children, Ricky Pharr of Jasper, Lynn Chester of Crandall, Anne Kelley of White and Denice Whitfield of Ball Ground; mother, Mary Lou Holder of Ball Ground; sisters, Barbara Thomason of Ball Ground and Geraldine Jeans of Canton; brothers, John Holder of Braselton and Joe Holder of Fairmount; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
