Police have identified a woman who was found dead just outside an eight- story parking deck on campus as 20-year-old Miranda Leigh Whiteway.

Multiple blunt injuries, consistent with the sudden impact from a fall, have been ruled as the cause of death, KSU officials reported Tuesday.

The investigation further determined that no foul play was involved.

The final autopsy report is pending toxicology results.

Whiteway, of Sandy Springs, was found at 7:50 a.m. Monday near the northeast corner of the university's Central Parking Deck adjacent to Frey Road.

"Our condolences are with our student's family and friends, as well as with all of KSU's students, faculty and staff who are touched by this tragedy," said KSU Provost Dr. Lendley Black.
