Sid Anderson, 73 of Woodstock went to be with our Lord Thursday, March 25, 2010. Mr. Anderson was born in Duck Town, TN, the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Dickerson and Mr. Charles W. Anderson. He was a 1955 graduate of Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN where he excelled in athletics. He also attended Oglethorpe University and Georgia State University. He spent his career as an advocate for independent pharmacists, most recently with Georgia Pharmaceutical Association. Mr. Anderson was a member of Woodstock First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary F. Anderson; daughters, Charme Anderson Silkiner and Tamara Anderson Snyder and their husbands, David Silkiner and Tom Snyder; grandchildren, Austin, Ashlyn, Holden, Sydney, James; great grandson, Josiah and a sister, Ann Dickerson Shackelford. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 29, 11am at Roswell Funeral Home with interment to follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Anderson's sons-in-law and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3-5pm and Monday one hour prior to the service.
