Benny David Rickman, 66, of Jasper, died April 10, 2010. ??He was born to the late Mont and Jessee Rickman, May 07, 1943, in Marietta, Ga. He and his wife, Susan, lived together in Jasper, GA. He is survived by his children: Melissa, Brian, and Teddy and two grandchildren: Dylan and Lily. He is also survived by four brothers: Jack, Gene, Henry, and Paul. Benny graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1961 and attended LaGrange College where he played basketball and helped found the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, LaGrange chapter. Benny was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He spent decades in the lumber, construction, and development business. He was a real estate broker for thirty years and was one of Cherokee County's most successful commercial sales' professionals. He played basketball throughout his school years, loved to garden, and fish. He was a charitable person and always helped those in need, especially children.
