BROOKS, Richard M.
Richard M. Brooks, 87, of Acworth, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kent Samples officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after 11 am Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Brooks served in the U.S. Army-Air Force and was a veteran of WW II. He was a member of Woodstock United Methodist Church and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lottie Brooks of Acworth; children, Anthony Brooks of Acworth and Debbie (Don) Smith of Acworth; granddaughters, Jennifer Wilkie and Stephanie Rose.
