Mr. Ray Overton Elrod, 73, of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at his residence. A gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 3 pm until 5 pm at Sosebee Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Georgia National Cemetery with military honors. Ray served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed cars and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Ann Elrod; daughter Jennifer Rae Elrod of Marietta; sister, Dottie Cook of Cincinnati, OH; several nieces and nephews.
