Charges dismissed in dog fighting case ...
Pet Lover wrote - More evidence of a system out to take people's pet, then try to make a case later. it does get these "humane" organizations millions of dollars. Good job to Randall Thaxton for fighting back and not letting them get away with it this time!
Bully Owner wrote - It makes me sick to see this devil get off. People who make a living off the blood, sweat and tears of these amazing animals... they are too lazy to make an honest living. They breed and fight these animals... what kind of person could sit in that house stuffing himself with food while their "pets" are outside starving and chained to God knows what? Give me his address.., my bully will get revenge for those dogs.
Linda 80398 wrote - Let's hope the investigation will continue. He's not the only person in Cherokee County treating dogs like this. Go after all of them, please, law enforcement. We love our dogs and treat them like family as most dog owners do, but those few, like this man, mistreat their animals, and the animals end up with the bad reputation. Personally, I hope there's a special place in Hell for people like this. A Michael Vick wannabe. And that pretty much says it all.
Xxxxxxxx wrote - This guy was found guilty of having dogs on chains. That's it? And in order to save said dogs from this horrible life, they killed them. I do not see any justice in this at all. I hope he wins his lawsuit.
What trash wrote - I find it absolutely revolting that this no-class citizen has the gall to file a lawsuit against the county. Like he should have any rights after depriving these animals of a meaningful life! I cannot stand trash like this, and I hope that his lawsuit gets dismissed. Hopefully, justice will prevail, and the law will eventually catch up to him.
Against Cruelty wrote - Dismissing the charges against this guy is a crock. He should never be allowed to have another dog or animal of any kind. I drive by that place all the time and don't think it is fit for dogs.
E-mails complicate likely lawsuit against city...
Jack Fack wrote - So is Scott Wood saying Ms Cain is a old bingo-playing wino? How much time did he waste trying to be funny?
Not as bad wrote - Not as bad as it could've been. He could've made reference to slum lords making money hand over fist while destroying the character of this city. Anybody driven down East Killian Street lately? The rental properties on that road have destroyed the area. Great legacy.
Sarcasm is good wrote - Wine-soaked bingo cards - that is hilarious. It shows that they are tending to the request, but also that they have a sense of humor about it. I for one don't think there is anything wrong with the e-mail. More politically incorrect rhetoric being spewed out in order to get more money. It's as though we should all be walking around afraid to make light or joke about anything. Like these people have never made fun or poked fun at someone in their life. There is no "yeah, we have, but this is different." It was funny, and I, for one, applaud the fact that someone thought this was newsworthy. Gave me a big smile, so thanks city manager and Bill Bryan.
Canton may not sell golf course ...
DUH!!! wrote - What a joke! Clean it up, open it and charge $20 per player. Put coupons in the newspapers. Offer yearly memberships for a low fee and get some people on the course. Why is Callahan Golf Links down the road always full at twice the price? Because of good management. Fairways of Canton was always way overpriced and the owner was a first-rate jerk to people. It all started with that lie about free greens fees for the first 10 years for City of Canton residents. Bureaucracy at its best.
