Charles Joseph Foley, Jr., born December 19, 1931 at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT. He attended the old St. Mary’s School on Greenwich Avenue and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1950. He was a decorated combat veteran in the Korean War from November 1951-July 1952. He attended Fairmont State College in West Virginia and was a member of their original swimming team. After returning from college, he entered the management program with Continental Baking Company and spent the next 40 years in the baking industry. He served in various senior sales and marketing management positions, retiring in 1998 as Northeast Regional Director of Sales for Best Foods Baking Group. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Foley; his five children, Kendra Pippin, Tara Foley, Shiona Butler and son-in-law Chris Butler, Amanda Turano and son-in-law Donald Turano, Theron Foley and daughter-in-law Jennifer Foley; thirteen grandchildren, Nancy Katherine Pippin, Raymond Pippin III, Jacob Anderskow, Madeleine Anderskow, Samuel Anderskow, Anna Cavaliere, Rachel Cavaliere, Nicholas Turano, Margaret Turano, Sean Foley and Caitlin Foley; and one great grand child, Chase Cavaliere. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Connolly Foley and his father, Charles Joseph Foley. He will be buried at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with full military honors on Thursday June 26th, 2014 at 11:30.
