Mr. Gary Champion, age 65, of Talking Rock, who passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Luke & Paralee Champion, Sisters, Patricia Edmonson, Kathleen Hefner, and Louise Lewis. Mr. Champion served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his Wife, Rachael Champion of Talking Rock, Son & Daughter-in-law, Kerry “Bo” & Tammy Champion, Talking Rock, Daughter, Teri Champion and Jessie Davis, Talking Rock, Grandchildren, Brett Champion, Talking Rock, Dillon Champion, Jasper, and Levi Champion, Talking Rock, Brother & Sister-in-law, Buddy & Mary Edmondson, Ball Ground, Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral Service will be 2 PM Sunday June 29, 2014 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Childers and Rev. Jimmy Rampley officiating. The interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will be receiving friends Saturday from 4-9 PM at Roper Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.
